Time is a really important factor for all the people. Specially for the Business people. We need to get the maximum out of our time and its important to be punctual as well. You need to have a good discipline with your time management and arranging your schedules. You need to schedule your day, week, month etc etc and work accordingly. Its acceptable to change it depend on the situation. But this is going to be a different story if you try to change your calender frequently or if you don't stick to your schedule. Mixing up your appointments can make lots of problems to you including missing very important activities and building a bad image for you.
I used to schedule my week on previous Friday and Im trying my best to stick to it. It makes my life easy as well as it helps me to do things on time. I hate to get late to an appointment (including lectures, party etc). I know most of the success full people use to work on time and work on schedule. Specially the business people work on time and they have respect to others time also. But there are some people who never care or respect to their time or other time. Its really pain full ting when you have to work with this kind of people.
I went to meet a customer in the morning with lots things in my mind when it comes to solution which we are going to offer to them. I got really bad experience with this person earlier also when it comes to starting a meeting on time. But I thought he will start today's meeting on time since it was schedule as 1st thing in the morning. I found that Im wrong. He killed almost my morning session. I was waiting for about an hour and finally walk off. HE was calling and sy sorry about the matter and telling he was at a urgent meeting. It can be an urgent meeting but he would have call me and inform it to me earlier or at least after i go to his office.
Then I was calling to another customer (who is a really nut one) to confirm a meeting which is schedule for tomorrow. I got really pissed off by his reply since he was telling that "sorry, I got another meeting and can we do this on Friday". This meeting was planed to start the project and we are expecting the presence of CEOs of both the companies. Still this man doesn't have any respect on others time.
I really can't understand how these people holding such responsible pistons as Managers in these organizations.
Im not telling my mwwting is the only important thing but we should respect the time we alocated for work which is pre-plnaed. If you can't make it for some good reason you need to inform the other party as soon as posible and should try to his time and effort.
We need to respct our time, at least others time.
