Today I donated blood for first time in my life. It was a really simple and well managed process.
Once I walk into the Blood Bank they measure the weight and asked to fill an application from which is bit funny. They were asking some funny questions such as "Do you have any homosexual relationship? / ever been with prostitute etc etc. Who the hell gonna answer these type of questions in Sri Lanka. Any way all the other things were well organized. They checked for blood count and some other things and direct me to blood collecting room. I didn't feel anything more than the small pain by the needle. It took around 10mins to get the necessary amount and it was over. Then they server some coffee.
The most important thing is the male attendant there bless me by saying "theruwan saranay" (may triple Gem bless you) which make me so happy. Actually I felt so happy once I complete the process.
I'll definitely continue this as much as I can and I would like all of you guys to donate blood at least once in your life time.
