books & me

I manage to do some shopping to buy books during week end. It was around 7.pm when I was step in to book shop and I was searching for good one. There were few interesting books but I didn't able to finalize my decision on what to buy. This sales man came to me and said they are going to close and I need to be hurry. Damn it, who the hell can buy books in this pace. Any way I had to rush and notice this book which I was looking for some time. Auto biography of Lee Kuan Yew. Wow, I was so happy and manage to finish my task with sauces even with all the interruptions from sales man.

Im always happy when I bought a good book. I love reading. Mostly non fictions. I get used to this habit of reading by my mother. She used to read a lot and I was following her from my childhood. Good books always make me happy. I always like to read some thing. Reading some good book always helps me to set my mood. I need to read some thing when Im down. Then it helps me to fix my mood and get motivated.

As I mentioned earlier also Im more in to non fictions. But that does not mean Im not reading fictions. Russian novels are the best when it comes to fictions.

This habit of reading helps me to acquire great amount of knowledge. I don't mind spending most of my free time for reading. Im spending lots of time when Im going for shopping to buy books. Its kind a smiler to time and effort which my wife (and most of women) putting to buy cloths.

Any way Im happy with a good book.

damn it, my laptop sceen has gone

I was trying to boot my laptop soon after come to office but there s nothing on the screen. I was facing this few times during last couple of months. But every this was fine after re-booting the machine up to today. Unfortunately it didn't work put today.

Now I have to send it for repairers and need to bake up my laptop before that. I was doing this for last two hours time and I hope I have done it successfully.

I hope they will do this within day. Its hard to think about doing this without my buddy (laptop) since I used to do almost every thign on this including my notes, presentations, etc etc.

wonderfull week end with full of fun & joy

We Manage to escape from all the the busy schedules and work for couple of days and get in to nice place with natural beauty. This is not that far from Colombo. Its around one hour drive.

There are few bungalows with decent facilities including water, electricity and reasonable bathrooms. You need to take necessary things to prepare meals and there are cooks who make food for you including BBQ. There are two swimming pools with fresh water (they are pumping water from near by water call and filling it all the time). You can see a natural water fall and walk in jungle.

Most important thing is you don't get TVs to spoil your holiday. But the signal strength is good with all the mobile phone service providers.

It was a totally different experience which you can relax and refresh yourself.

I am to run CMMI Certification Program

We are selected by ICTA for ICT Capability Building Program and ICTA will provide funds to acquire CMMI Level 3. This will be a very complex and time consuming task. But this is some thing really important for us as a Software company.

My CEO has assigned me as the Project Manager for this project. I have to work on this while doing all other tasks. But still I like to take this opportunity. I hope I’ll able to do a good job for my company and this will be a excellent experience for me which helps me to acquire knowledge. This will be an interesting task since this some thing bit different to my specialized areas.

Looking forward to deliver some quality work to company and looking forward to loads of sleepless night and more work.
