training for change

Training is an important thing for any kind of work. You can be a business executive, sportsman, teacher, security personal or any body. Training is really important. Most of the people should have gone through different types of training programs though out their career. But majority of these trainings are directly focus on training technicality of the job. Programmers will be sent for trainings on technology, Marketers will be sent for marketing/sales trainings etc. But most of the times we are not considering sending people for trainings which helps to train their attitudes. Im not telling that organizations are not doing this. Its a trend to talk about people with right attitude. But its not an easy task to get the right people with both right skills and right attitude. There are companies who recruit people for right attitude but its not same with all the places. Specially medium and small organizations can't do this effectively. That does not mean that people at small and medium size organizations are with different attitude. There are lots of people with right attitude but most are with right skills. Big companies got the opportunity of absorbing people with right attitude and right skills. Small & medium companies get the people who missed by big guys.

You can run your business with skilled people. There is no argument on that. But, if you want to challenge the big guys you also need people with skills and right attitude. There for you need to change your team's attitude in correct way. You need to make them to think positively, take the challenges and empower the organization to fight with big guys. More importantly take your organization to next level. 

How can you do this? Answer is simple. Its again training. What kind of trainings? Trainings which can make different on people, which help them to understand their hidden power, which helps them to think positively etc etc. This can be starts from most popular training method in modern world. Yes, outbound trainings. 

Most of the organizations are sending their staffs for outbound trainings. But most are not getting the real use out of these trainings. You need to have a mechanism to followup these things and get the maximum out of these.

at the beginning of CMMI ML 3

We have started the CMMI ML3 project day before yesterday (September 15). This is just a beginning of this entire process which we are planning to complete and get the certification by May 2009. We had the CMMI ML 3 starting presentation, GAP Analysis and GAP Presentation. CyberQ India is working as our process consultant and Mr. Sudhir Teotea (Sr. Consultant) is working with us. Presentation on Gap Analysis helps us to understand the areas where we need to improve. Actually there are some areas to be add to our existing process.

Yesterday (September 16) was allocated for CMMI ML3 overview training. It was a full day session. All are like over loaded with lots of technical stuff and processors etc etc. This training helps us to understand the toughness of the entire process before the certification and the appraisal process. But this is a must not because we are spending lots of money on this. Actually this is an opportunity for both company and employee as individuals. This will definitely helps company to improve the product quality and customer satisfaction and more importantly work according to industry standard etc etc. For us as employees, this will helps us improve our working patterns with all the defined processors and methods etc etc.

Now we need to start defining and writing processors. We formed four teams with two members for each team and allocate different processors to each team. Each team needs to define and write assigned processors within given time line. Its time for lots of reading and learning lots of new things.

im 28 now

Today is my 28th birth day. People say its time to celebrate. Not a bad idea. But Im getting older ah. 28 years. 

I take birth day as a time to evaluate myself  and understand what I did, am i working towards my goals, what are things I should change or correct etc etc and look forward. Some time do some changes on planes etc etc. 

My loving wife was the first one to wish me. She gave me a nice card. Then my mobile starts ringing. My sisters, father, mother in law, friends. Lots of calls and sms. I think more people wish me through  this year. Thats a good thing of technology. 

Coming year going to be a challenging one for sure (Im already working on many tasks). Im waiting for face the excitement.

google chrome


I saw the news on BBC and rushed into Google.com to download the beta version. Unfortunately, I failed to find the download location. Finally, I found that many people finding it difficult to down load it. Then I gave up the idea of experiencing the brand new Google web browser on very first day. But manage to download it next day and install it and use it. 

Google Chrome, its again a cool product by Google. Its simple, relatively fast etc etc. I love this feature which you can use same address box for searching as well. I hope Google will come up with more interesting features very soon.
